“Umm…I…” He started to go off, unable to form words at this point. ” I-I guess?”
“I would love to go back to Miami for pleasure. The beaches are beautiful there.”
“I haven’t gotten the chance to actually explore more of the world but here. That sounds amazing. Where else have you been?”
Grace smiled back, taking the cup and looking into it. ” Looks like mud.” She took a sip before cringing at the taste. ” Yeah, I think it does need something in it. Where is the cream and sugar?”
She laughed and motioned to the kitchen counter. “You’ll find all you need there.”
Grace staggered slightly over to the kitchen counter, placing down the cup and starting to put cream and sugar in it. Once she thought she had a decent amount, Grace took a sip of the coffee. A smile formed on her lips ” Now it tastes better.”
“He didn’t talk to me a lot. Mostly it was just about what happened to you and how you got back to hell. I don’t know, it’s been a couple days.” She moved some of her hair behind her ears before jumping up from the loud sound of the engine. Grace looked up before frowning at the Rider. She moved up to her feet and went over to him. ” You could have at least gave me warning on when you were going to leave!”
“Oh. I see.” He shifts uncomfortably at the thought of what happened. Really hoped he didn’t go back anytime soon. Didn’t think he could handle another trip again right now. Give it a year or ten before dying horribly once more. Better yet, don’t die ever again. Yeah. Good plan.
“I have no such obligation, I have no keeper.” A growl rumbles from the demon as he moves back over to his chair. The Rider would give the man a few more moments before repossessing him. Johnny stares warily at him before his gaze flickers down to the pastry tray. “Why weren’t ya with me this time..?” It came out as nothing more than a whisper. The Rider of course heard him, flames becoming more wild as if expressing anger.
“You’ve committed a sin Blaze, one for which I could not overlook. For that you were abandoned.” Johnny didn’t like that word, it made him flinch. It actually stung for what its worth. Fingers clutch the sheets tightly, gritting teeth in frustration. Not just because of the demon, but at himself too. “Ya really are an asshole.”
“You could have at least kept me company! I mean, you left me here to defend for myself. I would have liked a warning. ” She groaned, before watching as the two talked. She clenched her fists. Why would he say something like that? It was obvious that it triggered Johnny in some way. Grace went back to the bed and sat down next to Johnny, looking him over. “Hey, I’m not going to leave you. I promise you that.”
“It is not my job to babysit, my job is vengeance.” The Rider snorts, crossing arms over his chest. “ The chances you would be attacked was…unlikely.” The demon stares at the two, didn’t really get it. He was just telling the truth, he had no reason to lie or comfort the man. It wasn’t something he could do.
“How can ya promise that?” Johnny frowns deeply and his head lowers. Blonde locks obscure his face, didn’t want to look at her. “I can’t be ‘round people within em dying, what would make ya any different?”
“You didn’t have to baby sit! I was just asking for a warning. I don’t care! You also could of left me some money as well.” She huffed, before looking back at Johnny. He was right, she couldn’t promise him that she was going to stay alive. What as she suppose to tell him though? ” Because…I’m…well…different. You saw it. I’m able to defend myself. I’m not going to die without a fight.”
” Very hot and sunny. Sometimes the weather would change and it would become humid and rainy.” Nicole mused, her eyes glimmering with memories.
“We should go sometime Nicole. Just you and me. Taking in all the sun and just enjoying each other’s company.”
“Is that a way of you asking me on another date?” Nicole raised an eyebrow at him, smirking.
“Umm…I…” He started to go off, unable to form words at this point. ” I-I guess?”
“It’ll be something I remember for a long time!” She stated, before thanking pepper and walking into the cafe. Grace took a moment to look around, taking in the sights and smell. “Wow, it smells amazing in here. ” She moved over to the line, glancing over at Pepper. “What does a doughnut taste like anyway?”
“That would be the bakery. God, I do not get to come here enough,” She sighed gently, making her way to wait in line with Grace, quickly checking the emails on her phone. “It tastes fried dough made of sugar and heaven,” She grinned at the other woman, chuckling playfully. “Trust me, you’ll like it. I haven’t met a soul who doesn’t.”

“You’re making me more excited! Come on! Why can’t this line go any faster!” She laughed, before her eyes went wide, turning to Pepper.” Really? Fried sugar and heaven? I didn’t know you could eat heaven. “
“Really? That’s kinda weird.” She stated, before moving up from where she laid her head. She stretched slightly, turning her body around to the other.”I just want to say that it’s nice to talk to you Satana.”
She poured her a cup of coffee and brought it to where Grace laid. “Some would argue with you, but you are too innocent to know any better,” she said with a smile, handing the cup to the younger woman. “Taste it. There is cream and sugar you can add if you find it too bitter.”
Grace smiled back, taking the cup and looking into it. ” Looks like mud.” She took a sip before cringing at the taste. ” Yeah, I think it does need something in it. Where is the cream and sugar?”
